From independent director and animator, Josh Funk, comes 3 KEYS - a fantasy/thriller short film set in the world of one woman's nightmares. In the office of a psychiatrist (Robert Donnelly), a patient (Brigette Funk) explains her reoccurring nightmares that always begin with a mysterious door and three different skeleton keys that unlock it. Accompanied by stop-motion puppets, marionettes, and miniatures, each nightmare is packed with practical effects.
3 Keys wins 2nd Place: Judges Choice and Best Animation at this year's Shortz! Film Festival.
3 Keys has been nominated for Best Fantasy Short and Best Art Direction - Short at this year's FilmQuest. The festival is September 7th-15th in Provo, UT.
3 Keys has been selected as a Finalist in the Shortz! Film Festival. The festival is August 11th and 12th in Chico, CA.
3 Keys wins the award for Most Original Concept at the Videoscream Film Festival in Portland, OR.
3 Keys wins the Gold Award for Best Horror Film at the Mindfield Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA.
3 Keys won the Award of Excellence: Film Short in the Best Shorts International Film Competition. 3 Keys is a Semi-Finalist in the Los Angeles CineFest Competition. LA CineFest is an online and live international event, the winning films will screen at the live event in Los Angeles in Jan, 2019.
The world premiere of 3 Keys will be held at the Museum of Northern California Art on April 13th and 14th at 6:30pm. The event will feature a behind the scenes video, Q&A with the filmmakers, and puppets and props on display. Click HERE for event details.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Josh Funk creates surreal and vibrant short films, music videos, and animations that mix practical effects, puppetry, computer graphics, and experimental elements inspired by his favorite films of the 1980's and music videos of the 1990's.
